Special guest, Jennifer Fogarty, on break from the International Tour of The Addams Family, along with featured performers, Merrill Peiffer* and Scottie McLaughlin* will be joining a star-studded cast of your favorite Seacoast area performers for two evenings of Singing for Seats!
Singing for Seats will be a family friendly, cabaret-style benefit concert with music ranging from billboard top hits to Broadway classics. A portion of all "Singing for Seats" concert tickets will go toward funding The Players' Ring current project aimed at replacing their outdated theatre seats.
"The Ring would love to transform our 70-seat theatre into a genuine Black Box Theatre to enhance the experience for our audience and for each Production Company," said a Players' Ring Board Member. "Doing this would allow each project the ability to achieve their artistic vision without the hassles of dealing with outdated, heavy, theatre seats that are bolted to the risers."
Performances of Singing for Seats will be Sunday, September 29th and Wednesday, October 2nd at 7PM at The Players' Ring, 105 Marcy Street, Portsmouth, NH.
From September 19th - October 6th , Patrick Dorow Productions will be producing Nunsense A-Men, their second musical production with The Players' Ring, featuring Bill Humphreys, Scottie McLaughlin, Kirk Simpson, Patrick Dorow and Josh Moore as the Sisters of Hoboken. The collaborative relationship between Patrick Dorow Productions (PDP) and The Players' Ring has been very valuable to PDP and they look forward to co-producing future projects.
Want to help? The Players' Ring has a crowd funding campaign going on via Indiegogo, whereby anyone can donate money in exchange for donated gifts including: tickets, jewelry, gift certificates and more. You can even purchase one of the vintage seats or have your name put on one of the new seats. It is amazing how small amounts from a lot of people can add up and make a difference. For more information about the crowd funding campaign, visit:www.indiegogo.com and search Players' Ring.
