Lord Byron was quoted as saying "Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine." That form of medicine has been playing monthly at The Park Theatre's River Street Theatre in Jaffrey since early 2017. The last Monday of every month has been an oasis for stand-up comedy as well as comedy in the form of music, magic, improv, and storytelling.

The River Street Theatre's "Monad Knock-Knock" Comedy Live series has been programmed by New England comedian Greg Boggis.

"We have been so lucky to have Greg as not only our resource for finding the best comedy talent in New England but also as our host for our monthly dose of laughs in downtown Jaffrey. He has a great following himself and a terrific network of comedians. Greg has been complemented by local actor/director/writer, Paige Johnson, who recently began producing fun and audience engaging improv nights for Monad Knock-Knock," said Steve Jackson, CEO and Managing Director of The Park Theatre.

"These live comedy events have built a loyal audience each month. We are so proud to have Jaffrey as the home for this terrific series," added Jackson.

Mr. Boggis brings his next showcase of comedians to the River Street Theatre in Jaffrey on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28 at 7:30pm.

Tickets for Monad Knock-Knock Live Comedy Night are $10 each. Please note that some material presented may be for mature audiences. More program and schedule information, as well as ticket purchases, can be found at riverst.org or by calling the RST Box Office (603) 532-8888.

The River Street Theatre is located in downtown Jaffrey, New Hampshire at 6 River Street. The River Street Theatre is sponsored by Grove Street Fiduciary, Coca-Cola, the Board of Trustees of the Park Theatre, Janet S. Grant, Betty Locke, Owen Houghton and the James F. & Fernande Kelly Charitable Trust.
