Is There Fat in That?, the acclaimed, one woman musical will play for four performances at The Players' Ring in Portsmouth, NH December 29 – January 1. Written by and starring Ellen Domingos, FAT tells the story of a girl from Maine who wins a national beauty pageant and becomes a super model in NYC, all the while battling an eating disorder. The show is hysterically funny, filled with great music and wonderful stories about what it is really like to be a "super model."
FAT had its world premiere at Good Theater in Portland last year. Here's what the Portland Press Herald had to say about the show, "Domingos had the audience captivated from the moment she stepped onstage... Laughter quickly followed as she began relaying her autobiographical tale. Her expressive face accented each comically phrased situation and perfectly timed quip…The audience reveled in her stories… Domingos is an engaging performer... She has it all: looks, personality, charisma, comic timing, wit and a powerful, sultry vocal that's beautifully showcased in songs cleverly interwoven into her stories."
