Enjoy Big Band Sounds with the Capital Jazz Orchestra in April at the CCA

The Big Band sounds of Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman and Woody Herman are revived as jazz clarinet master and Benny Goodman alumnus Ken Peplowski teams up with the Capital Jazz Orchestra at the historic Capitol Center for the Arts in Downtown Concord on Sunday, April 2 for "Artie, Benny, Woody". Tickets are currently on sale starting at $20, plus any applicable fees for phone/Internet sales.

Audiences will enjoy swing favorites like "Begin the Beguine", "Stardust", "Don't Be That Way", and "Woodchopper's Ball" as performed by Mr. Peplowski and the distinguished group of big band veterans who make up the CJO.

Tickets for the 4PM performance may be ordered by calling the Capitol Center for the Arts at (603) 225-1111 or online at www.ccanh.com. Tickets may also obtained at the CCA's box office at 44 South Main St., Concord, NH, which is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11AM to 6PM and Saturdays from 11AM to 2PM.


About the Capital Jazz Orchestra
The Capital Jazz Orchestra is comprised of alumni from such "name" bands as Duke Ellington, Buddy Rich, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson and Artie Shaw as well as the more contemporary orchestras of Toshiko Akiyoshi and Gordon Goodwin's "Big Phat Band". Members reside all over the country and have shared the stage with such stars as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, Jack Jones, Rosemary Clooney, Mel Torme', and Joe Williams. Preparations are under way for a US tour in the fall of 2017.


About the Capitol Center for the Arts

The award-winning Capitol Center for the Arts (www.ccanh.com) inspires, educates, and entertains audiences by providing a quality venue for the performing arts as well as an eclectic variety of professional-level, artistically-significant presentations.
