Doubt is a brilliant and powerful drama, set against the backdrop of a Catholic school. Set in 1964, Bronx school principal Sister Aloysius takes matters into her own hands when she suspects Father Flynn has behaved inappropriately with the school's first integrated student.

Where do you draw the line between suspicion and belief, between certainty and doubt? When does due diligence turn into a witch hunt? Is this a struggle for power or a battle for truth? Is doubt a weakness or a virtue?

"When you doubt a person, even their most innocent action can seem suspect," says Jukwaa Mazoa's producer Sandi Clark. That's what confronts us in this play, the power of that suspicion you can have in a closed environment like a Catholic parish and school.

"Doubt" features Donna M. Goldfarb as Sister Alloysius, Mathew Schofield as Father Flynn, Haley DeValliere as Sister James and Sandi Clark as Mrs. Muller. The production is directed by Kim Starling with set design by Dane Leeman and lighting design by Brett Reis.

About the Players' Ring: Since 1992, the mission of The Players' Ring has been to promote the efforts of local artists through the production of original works, while providing an affordable theatre space to local production companies. "The Ring" provides an environment where artists can thrive, grow, take risks and make daring choices.
