Cue Zero Theatre Company Announces Season And Auditions  Image

Cue Zero Theatre Company will be producing three main stage productions, as well as numerous side projects as part of their first full season. All three main stage productions will showcase our 2018/2019 resident artist, Marjorie Boyer. The projects will take place around various locations in southern New Hampshire, primarily in Manchester and Concord. The company will also be producing a plethora of online content through social media.

The main stage season will open with the world premier of NuSpaceby Marjorie Boyer. This political drama examines a world where a company has developed the technology to re-write and control every aspect of Internet media. NuSpace will run March 1st-3rd at the new Krevia Academy in Manchester.

The spring production will be David Auburn's Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning play Proof.On the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday, Catherine, a young woman who has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, Robert, must deal not only with his death, but with the arrival of her estranged sister, Claire, and with the attentions of Hal, a former student of her father's who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that Robert left behind. Proofwill play Kreiva Academy May 3rd-5th.

The main stage season will conclude with the 2010 Pulitzer Prize winner Next To Normal. In this rock musical, we get an unflinching look at a suburban family struggling with the effects of mental illness. Dad's an architect; mom rushes to pack lunches and pour cereal; their daughter and son are bright, wise-cracking teens, appearing to be a typical American family. And yet their lives are anything but normal because mother has been battling manic depression for 16 years. Next To Normalwill have a two weekend run at Concord's Hatbox Theatre August 16th-25th.

Cue Zero Theatre Company will also be producing a number of side projects as part of their "Cue Zero Laboratory Series". Projects include workshops, live performances, and classes at Jupiter Hall in Manchester, a New Works Blog, a podcast, on-line staged readings, and the new Guerilla Shakespeare Series. The GSS will see Cue Zero perform staged readings of the Bard's work in unconventional venues, the first of which being A Midsummer Night's Dreamtaking place at The Bookery in downtown Manchester on January 18th.

Auditions for the season will be as follows:

· NuSpace,Proof, and the Laboratory Series will hold joint auditions on December 18thand 20that Kreiva Academy from 6p-9p. Those wishing to audition should prepare two one-minute contrasting monologues that best show off their acting ability, and be prepared to read from the script. Those wishing to be considered for Guerilla Shakespeare should also prepare a one-minute Shakespearian monologue. Resumes and headshots preferred but not required.
