No one can forget where they were as the tragic events of September 11 unfolded before their eyes in 2001. In tribute to the indomitable character of the American people, join friends and family at Concord's Capitol Center for the Arts Sunday, September 11, at 4pm as we honor the 10th anniversary of September 11 with a "Salute to the American Spirit" featuring the New England Wind Symphony under the direction of Clayton "Skip" Poole.

The New England Wind Symphony will perform a varied program of great American music, including Aaron Copeland's Fanfare for The Common Man; John Philip Sousa's Hail to the Spirit of Liberty; John Williams Hymn for the Fallen; and a world premier by composer Jerry Ascione, former leader of the the US Navy Commodores and piano soloist with the US Navy Concert Band. In addition, the program will feature performances by Patty Barkas, vocalist, Elliott Markow, violinist, as well as an appearance by the Stuart Highlanders Pipes and Drums and highland dancers. Our Master of Ceremonies will be the colorful Mr. John Carmichael.Presented in Association with the New Hampshire Highland Games.
