Songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Ani DiFranco will appear at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Downtown Concord, NH on Friday, September 14 at 8PM, as part of her "Rise Up" tour. The show also features special guest Peter Mulvey.
>From the raw "folk punk" of her early albums through the jazz/funk grooves she created during her years touring with a five-piece band to the twists and turns of her current work as a solo artist, Ani DiFranco's restless creativity continually leads her and her listeners into ever more exciting territory. With the release of her latest album Binary, DiFranco returns to the road backed by her band mates
Todd Sickafoose (bass) and Terence Higgins (drums).
Peter Mulvey is a veteran singer and songwriter from Milwaukee, WI. He began his career on the streets of Dublin, Ireland, as a busker, and from there moved on to performing in the subways and streets of Boston, Massachusetts. This led to his first record deal and a leap to full-time national and international touring, beginning in the early Nineties.
