Light at Zuiderstrand Theatre

LeineRoebana (25 years) and the Chassé Theater (20 years) are celebrating their joint anniversary with a large and unique multidisciplinary dance opera, where the world's best musicians, singers and dancers come together. The international cast brings an overwhelming amount of ideas, cultures and impressions with them. That does not merge into a single entity, but remain in their individuality sound through each other. LIGHT shows the harmony which lies in the cacophonous violence of this tower of Babel.
In LIGHT sounds and everything happens at once, through one another, colliding, jerky, sometimes enriching, sometimes simply simultaneously. This is back to the golden team of Ghost Track! Choreographers Andrea Leine and Harijono Roebana work for LIGHT again along with rising star composer Iwan Gunawan. The party also praised the gamelan ensemble Kyai Fatahillah and a variety of Indonesian and Western dancers. The company is also extended with two dancing opera singers: the Indonesian soprano Bernadeta Astari and the Uzbek mezzo-soprano and harpist Ekatarina Levental.
