The musical SOLDAAT VAN ORANJE, which has been playing sold-out houses for three years now, will open in London in 2014, says Harvey Goldsmith in The Stage today.

Goldsmith heads Image Nation, founded by SOLDAAT initiator and producer Robin De Levita with the purpose of rolling out his productions globally. His SOLDAAT VAN ORANJE currently plays a rotating 1,100-seat auditorium within a converted airport hangar in the Netherlands. The audience moves from scene to scene, allowing intricate settings to be created, such as a beach with rolling waves and all. In addition, IMAX-style projections add to the immersive, filmic sense of the show.

SOLDAAT tells the story of young students joining the Dutch resistance during the Second World War.

In The Stage, Goldsmith, who previously produced spectacles such as Live Aid and Cirque du Soleil, says he is searching for a suitable space in London to create a similar experience. De Levita adds that other countries, including the US and Japan have also expressed interest in the show's format.
