Dutch Musical Award Nominations Announced, Ceremony Held Oct 2nd

On Sunday September 11th the nominations for the John Kraaijkamp Musical Awards were announced.

The original Dutch musical Petticoat leads the pack with twelve nominations, closely followed by Dutch language productions of La Cage aux Folles (11 nominations) and Spring Awakening (10 nominations).

The awards will be handed out during a ceremony, which will be televised by national television station RTL4, on sunday October 2nd. The ceremony will take place at the DeLaMar Theater in the center of Amsterdam.

The 71 nominations were devided over 13 productions:

The Dutch Musical Awards make a distinction between large and small musicals, the difference being the number of cast members on stage(15 or less is a small musical)
