Why is there a trial with Scrooge suing Marley and the Ghosts and why is he acting as prosecutor? You may also recognize the witnesses the defense calls.

We meet some new characters in this play;  a pompous Judge, a bumbling but well-meaning bailiff, and an interesting defense attorney along with  a translator to help with testimony.
