In this new adaptation, recently discovered writings from Anne Frank, as well as survivor accounts, are interwoven to create an impassioned story of the lives of eight Jews who spent two years hiding from the Nazis in a concealed attic. Anne emerges from history an intensely gifted young girl, who confronts her rapidly changing life and the horror of her time with honesty, wit, and determination.
