This play is based on the life of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt and explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific discoveries, when women’s ideas were dismissed until men claimed credit for them.
As Henrietta, in her free time, attempts to measure the light and distance of stars, she must also take measure of her life on Earth, trying to balance her dedication to science with family obligations and the possibility of love.
**Please note that our theater was damaged in the tornado. Our friends at Saint Timothy's Lutheran Church in Hendersonville graciously offered their space for us to perform in.
Join us and experience HPAC in a smaller, more intimate setting! Please note, tickets are general admission, so arrive early for the best seats.
