Based on the motion picture by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown, and Bob Clark
Through the nostalgic recollections of his grown-up self, we follow nine-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas! Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher, and even Santa Claus himself at Goldblatt's Department Store. The consistent response: "You'll shoot your eye out." It’s all here in this loving stage adaptation of the perennial cult holiday classic film: the family's temperamental exploding furnace, the schoolyard bully, the boys' experiment with a wet tongue on a frozen lamppost, the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin, the Old Man’s FRA-GEE-LAY Leg Lamp, and of course the best Christmas present ever!
