On Saturday October 6th, from 1pm to 1am, The Nashville Improv Company (formerly the Nashville Comedy Theater) will perform a 12 hour improv comedy marathon at The Next Level Arts & Entertainment Mindset, located downtown at 1008 Charlotte Ave, Nashville TN 37203. All proceeds will be donated to Hands on Nashville, in order to support the community in a direct and meaningful way.

Nothing like this has been ever been attempted in the Southeast. This event features 12 improvisors with 35 combined years of experience, performing in twelve 1-hour shows, including sets of their signature high energy games, a Broadway-style musical, a Shakespearian play, a kids’ show, a love story, and a late night R-rated show, all completely improvised in the hip, pop-culture infused style that is the trademark of the NIC.

The NIC is a professional company that performs high-energy comedy shows every 1st and 3rd Saturday, featuring improvised games, music, and dramatic scenes completely inspired by the audience. They specialize in themed performances, like “The Super Bowl of Improv”, which featured costumed Patriots and Giants competing in challenges. Their next show is the "Salute to Improv", paying homage to the television series, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

The cast has performed for the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Vanderbilt’s Sarratt Theater, Tennessee Renaissance Festival, and they were proud to be selected as the only Nashville-based team at the Nashville Improv Festival. Their classes and workshops have attracted hundreds of students and businesspeople looking to gain self-confidence and spontaneity in their lives.

A limited number of wristbands are available for $30 each, allowing unlimited access to all 12 hours of improv, while individual tickets to each hour are available for $5. During the event, the cast will 'pass the hat' for additional donations, hold a silent auction for items donated by local businesses, and have placed a donation link on their website for those unable to attend.
