A slice of Broadway comes to Franklin for the fifth annual Broadway at Bethlehem benefit on Saturday, February 12, with the talents of Tennessee Rep/Broadwayworld.com favorite Martha Wilkinson, international performers Holly Shepherd and Jennifer Richmond, as well as popular Nashville-area artists Daron Bruce, Amanda Lamb and B.J. Rowell at the Bethlehem UMC Performing Arts Center, 2419 BethlehEm Loop Road, Franklin.
The star-studded evening will help underwrite the Bethlehem Players' March 4-13 production of the musical Annie. Harry Robinson, BUMC Music & Arts Director, said they are thrilled to have award-winning playwrights Osborne & Eppler hosting the event for the first time.
"Dietz Osborne and Nate Eppler are the hilarious writing team responsible for the smash-hit Southern Fried Funeral we staged most recently. Their participation will make this evening more remarkable for our audience along with the most fantastic night of Broadway music available in our own backyard," Robinson said.
The evening, which is a sell-out each year, begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes a dessert extravaganza, an exciting Silent Auction and a marvelous night of music. General admission tickets for the event are $15 per person and can be obtained at drama@bethlehemumc.com or by calling (615) 791-6456, ext. 2. Group sales tickets are also currently available for Annie coming to the Bethlehem stage March 4-13. A ten percent ticket discount is available for groups of 10 or more.
The Bethlehem Players are celebrating their fourteenth year of community theatre excellence.
