The Blue Moon Theatre Bids Farewell To SYLVIA This Weekend  Image

The Blue Moon Theatre Company located in Downtown Johnson City will host it's final two performances of SYLVIA written by by A.R. Gurney on Friday June 29th and Saturday June 30th at 8pm - Live on stage.

Sylvia is a smart, playful, sophisticated and occasionally gritty comedy about relationships, nature, and growing older. A recent Broadway hit, Sylvia tells the entertaining story of an exuberant, lovable dog who changes the lives of a middle aged couple. Greg and Kate have entered the empty-nest time in life and have moved to Manhattan after 20 years in the suburbs. Greg is struggling with being dissatisfied with his job while Kate is excited about her new teaching opportunities and new found freedom. Sylvia enters into the middle of their relationship, challenging their marriage and their habitual points of view.

The production features the talents of Sabra Suter Hayden, Nora Beth Moran, Larry Bunton and Edward Breese and stage managed by Johnny Archer.

The Blue Moon Theatre has been delighting Johnson City audiences since 2008 presenting an intimate theatre experience in the heart of Downtown. The Blue Moon produces theatre year round including comedies, dramas, musicals, children's theatre and original Murder Mysteries!

The doors open at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday and the performance begins at 8pm. Candy, soda, and snacks are available for purchase in the lobby. before the show and at intermission.
