Due to the prompt action of Metro Nashville officials, Circle Players will be able to stage its final three performances of Fame, the Musical this weekend at the Z. Alexander Looby Theatre.

The final two performances of the run, originally scheduled for last weekend-August 8 and 9-but were canceled due to a malfunctioning air conditioning system at the Looby Theatre.

However, thanks to repairs made this week by Metro Parks Theatre Department workers, Circle Players will present three more performances of the show this weekend, Friday, August 14-Sunday, August 16. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. (CDT) Friday and Saturday night, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday.

According to Carolyn German, who directs Metro Parks' Theatre Department, maintenance workers were able to install a needed part on Tuesday and theatre patrons will be able to enjoy this weekend's performances in air-conditioned comfort.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, and children ages 6 and under are free. Group rates are also available.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.circleplayers.net or by phone at (615) 332-7529. Individual and season tickets are on-sale at the Looby Theatre box office one hour prior to curtain.
