Take a musical trip down memory lane at the Roxy Regional Theatre with the '50s and '60s musical comedy THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES, opening tonight, May 31, at 8pm.
Betty Jean (Heather Gault), Cindy Lou (Taylor Galvin), Missy (Ashley Harris) and Suzy (Elena Pascullo) are the Wonderettes, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! Performing at the 1958 Springfield High School senior prom, the girls share stories about their lives and loves while treating the audience to over twenty classic tunes, including "Lollipop," "Dream Lover," "Stupid Cupid," "Lipstick On Your Collar," "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," "It's My Party" and more!
Directed and choreographed by Tom Thayer, THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES is written by Roger Bean, creator of such audience-pleasing jukebox hits as THE ANDREWS BROTHERS and ROUTE 66.
Saturday, June 15, is the Roxy's "Wine & Theatre Night," during which patrons can enjoy the best of Beachaven Winery and light comestibles along with the8pm performance. Tickets are $40. (Show-only tickets are also available for this performance.)
THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES runs May 31 through June 29, playing Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, with a2pm matinee on Saturday, June 8.
