SHREK THE MUSICAL Jr. Comes To The Renaissance Center Stage

The Renaissance Players are proud to announce our first Young Entertainers production of 2019, Shrek the Musical, Jr. directed by Rachel Jackson. Performances are March 8-17 in the Performance Hall at the Renaissance Center.

Everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a crew of misfits on a musical adventure to save a princess and find acceptance for himself and fairytale creature-kind. This show is filled with your favorite characters from the Oscar-winning movie and songs from the hit Broadway show.

"The cast and crew of Shrek Jr. have been hard at work the past few weeks. As an actor who grew up in the Young Entertainers on Stage program, it's been beyond rewarding to watch these young actors step up, grow and mature right in front of my eyes," says director Rachel Jackson. "The great thing about the story of Shrek is that there's something for everyone. If you enjoy the humor of the movie, the cuteness factor of little kiddos dressed like fairytale creatures, or a powerful message of acceptance and self love, this is the show for you. I'm immensely proud of my actors and my production team. These kids and this story really shouldn't be missed!"

Performances are March 8, 9, 15, & 16 at 7:00 pm, and March 10 & 17 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are available at www.renplayers.com. Our Jr. shows are always well-attended so make sure to get your tickets early to avoid long lines!
