Limelight, in East Nashville, was transformed into a swanky Las Vegas casino and showroom when Street Theatre Company's It's Vegas, Baby! was brought back "by popular demand" on Thursday, August 12.
Local actors and playwrights Dietz Osborne and Nate Eppler emceed the festivities for the successful fundraiser for the Nashville theatre company. The evening featured a "floor show" featuring some of the company's most popular performers in a wide variety of numbers onstage.
All funds raised by the event will help Street Theatre Company "continue its mission to foster professional, affordable and accessible theatre, music and arts education in Nashville by producing the highest quality performances and educational workshops, and providing artistic opportunities for young people," according to Cathy Street, artistic director for the company.
Party-goers were given $30,000 worth of playing chips for the gaming tables while they enjoyed fine hors di'euvres and drinks and indulged in a silent auction and viewed the cabaret performance featuring STC company members.
