Pipeline-Collective presents the Nashville premiere of Nick Payne's award-winning play Constellations at the Belmont Little Theatre, running December 16, 17, 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. Directed by David Ian Lee, the plays stars Jason Griffith and Karen Sternberg.

The opening night performance will be "pay-what-you-can," while tickets for all remaining performances are $10.

In his play, Payne envisions the multiverse, a world that includes every decision ever - and never - made. Roland (Griffith) is a beekeeper and Marianne (Sternberg) is a theoretical early universe cosmologist. They meet, then meet again and again, each scenario charting a different path for their relationship. Constellations takes audiences on a fascinating journey, exploring free will, love, bosons, and honey.

Ben Brantley from The New York Times wrote, "Constellations gets into your head and under your skin with an immediacy that sometimes tickles and often hurts."

Lee describes Constellations as "a bittersweet romantic comedy about string theory. Roland and Marianne fall in love and not, fall out of love and not, find one another only to be lost again, and experience all of the possible variations of a life shared in the meta-universe."

"We're excited to present Constellations as Pipeline-Collective's second production," says Sterberg, one of Pipeline-Collective's four founding members. "This furthers our mission of bringing tremendous talent and voices from outside Nashville to collaborate within our own unique and vibrant community of theatremakers. Playwright Nick Payne's star is on the ascent, and his words will stay with you long after the lights come up. And we're grateful that Jason Griffith, a dear friend of ours from New York City and an accomplished professional actor, is joining us for this special production."

Constellations premiered at London's Royal Court Theatre in January, 2012, and then transferred to the West End later that year. At 29, Nick Payne became the youngest playwright to win the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Play. The play opened on Broadway in January, 2015, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson.

Constellations is presented under the auspices of the Actors' Equity Association Members' Project Code. Founding Members of Pipeline-Collective include Lauren Berst, David Ian Lee, Karen Sternberg and Cheryl White.
