Nashville Story Garden Presents SHE/HER/HERS  Image

NASHVILLE STORY GARDEN an incubator of original theatre, film and new media projects will be presenting SHE/HER/HERS: 5 One-Act World Premiere plays featuring female leads on THURSDAY, JANUARY 17th at THE CORDELLE (45 Lindsley Ave, Downtown). The evening will also be accompanied with performances by singer/actor Megan Murphy Chambers, making SHE/HER/HERS a special night celebrating the community and artistry of women in Music City.

As part of the event, all proceeds for SHE/HER/HERS will go towards BRITEHEART (www.briteheart.org), an arts-powered civic engagement platform that connects individuals with organizations and organizations with resources.

For SHE/HER/HERS, writers were given 3 conditions for each new play. 1. The main character must be a woman. 2. It must include the line, "The other one didn't make so much noise". 3. Something must be revealed.

Playwrights for SHE/HER/HERS include Edith Freni (Ingram New Works Alumni), Nate Eppler (2017 American Theatre Critics Association's New Play Award), Krista Knight (Heideman Award, Actors Theatre of Louisville), Mary Donnet Johnson (Finalist, Kentucky Women Writers' Biennial Prize), & Drew Maynard (SXSW, Horizon Award, Nashville Film Festival). Directors and Actors include Jaclyn Jutting, Leah Lowe, Lauren Berst, René Millán, Evelyn O'Neal Brush, Rachel Agee, Alicia Haymer, Denice Hicks, Paige Maynard, Amanda Card, Lori Fischer, Tessa Bryant, Nealy Glenn, Becky Wahlstrom, Jessica Anderson, Diego Gomez, Patriq James, & Nat McIntyre.

Featuring drinks by J. Jackson: Mobile Mixologist and The Picnic Tap, food from the Grilled Cheeserie Truck. Cocktail hour starts at 6:30pm, with SHE/HER/HERS beginning at 7:30. Tickets are $10.00 and available at EventBrite & www.nashvillestorygarden.org
