Nashville Opera opens the 2009-10 season with a grand production of Giacomo Puccini's Tosca in the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall on Thursday, October 8 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, October 10 at 8:00 pm. The work will be sung in Italian with projected English translations and features the Nashville Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Steven White. Tosca is directed by Nashville Opera's Artistic Director, John Hoomes. Tickets range from $17 to $80 and are available by calling Nashville Opera at (615) 832-5242, online at www.nashvilleopera.org, or by calling the Tennessee Performing Arts Center Box Office at 782-4040. A limited number of "pay what you can" tickets can be purchased on a first come, first served basis exclusively from Nashville Opera.
