Studio Tenn's season finale production of the operatic epic "Les Miserables" will celebrate Claude-Michel Schönburg's stirring, masterful score: the core of this sweeping contemporary phenomenon.

Made into a major Hollywood motion picture in 2012, "Les Mis" is the theatre title currently on everyone's lips. In Studio Tenn's production, the music, foremost, will triumph-its full majesty aptly showcased amid the grandeur of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center's acoustically unparalleled Laura Turner Hall on May 3 and 4, 2014.

Featuring some of the finest vocal talent from Broadway and beyond, adorned with exquisite costuming and backed by a full symphony orchestra, this "Les Mis" bodes absolute magnificence: a revolutionary production in substance and splendor.

The cast features internationally renowned tenor, recording artist and performer Mike Eldred as "Jean Valjean," a role he played on Broadway. Chuck Wagner will play "Javert," also a role among his many Broadway credits. Studio Tenn's own Laura Matula is Fantine. Éponine will be played by recent Nashville transplant Rachel Potter, a top 12 contestant on the singing competition TV show "The X Factor" with a large Broadway resumé to boot. Seasoned Broadway actor Matthew Scott will play Marius and New York based actor and singer Gregory Maheu will be Enjolras. Managing Director Jake Speck -- a former member of the Broadway cast of "Jersey Boys" -- will play Thénardier, alongside company member Kim Bretton as Madame Thénardier and Belmont University Senior Sarah Caroline Billings will play Cosette.

They will be joined by a 20 member ensemble and a 146 voice choir.
