Out Front on Main presents Tracy Letts' Bug, directed for the stage by George W. Manus, Jr., focuses on "on an unhinged war veteran who holes up with a lonely woman in a spooky Oklahoma motel room, while the line between reality and delusion is blurred as they discover a bug infestation." It runs October 13-31, Thursdays-Sundays at 7:30 p.m. with an additional show on Halloween night followed by a costume ball.

Bug opens with Agnes and her friend, R.C., drinking and snorting cocaine, and ends with Peter, a complete stranger, invited to spend the night on the floor of her room, according to an Out Front on Main press release.

"From here the dysfunction and violence continue their downward spiral: Agnes' abusive ex-husband, Jerry apparently the prank caller shows up and beats her before leaving again; Peter tells Agnes of his military past and his conspiracy theory, a story which hints of paranoia and insanity; all while the motel room and its occupants increasingly become infested with bugs only the two of them can see.  In the second half of the play, Agnes' ex returns to a hotel room now hung with flypaper and littered with insect repellents.  The extreme dysfunction in Agnes' life has reached is apparent - when Jerry's bullying fails to make the impact that it did in the beginning of the play: Peter ignores him, and Agnes throws him out.  However, where Jerry fails to manipulate Agnes, Peter succeeds, as his violent seizures and circular logic recall her focus whenever she is tempted to stray from his path of paranoia.  Just as the seduced, then shocked, the degeneration of the characters creates a compelling web that ensnares the audience as dysfunction turns, suddenly and explosively, to insanity."

Manus has double-cast the show, with "Team Tracy" performing October 13-16, with Andy Woloszyn as Peter, Molly Breen as Agnes, Tara McBay as R.C., Michael Rex as Goss and Anderson Dodd as Dr. Sweet.

"Team Letts" takes the stage October 20-23, with David Bennett as Peter, Jessica Theiss as Agnes, Quiche Fletcher as R.C., Buddy R. Jones as Goss and Hudson Wilkins as Dr. Sweet

Additional run dates are October 27-31, with alternating nights for each cast and a lottery draw for Halloween Night, followed by a costume ball.
