The 2nd Annual "Home For The Holidays" Tour will be hosted by The Oak Ridge Playhouse for two nights only. Tony Award winning Broadway and film actor Levi Kreis will be accompanied by locals Josh Howard and Jay Miller for a night of Christmas carols, holiday classics, and musical highlights from Levi's road to Broadway.
Kreis' holiday tour is always free for veterans. Kreis says, "I know it's not much considering the sacrifice our veterans have made, but I wanted to offer what I do to those who have risked their lives for this country. It's my way of just saying thank you."
Levi began here in Oak Ridge as a classical pianist studying under Anna Miller before receiving a full scholarship to Vanderbilt University for classical piano technique. A move to Los Angeles established his career as an film and stage actor as well as a singer/songwriter featured on many major network programs.
In theater circles, Kreis is known for originating the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in Broadway's Tony nominated musical Million Dollar Quartet. The role won Levi the 2010 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical, a 2010 Outer Critics Circle Award, and a 2010 Drama League nomination. Kreis began developing the piece in 2004, also arranging music for the show.
Other notable stage credits include the Tony nominated revival of Violet starring Sutton
Foster, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Pump Boys And Dinettes and the national tour of Rent. In film, Levi is best known for his role as Fenton, Adam's brother (Matthew McConaughey) in Bill Paxton's directorial debut Frailty (2001). Levi began his acting career with film and has recently returned to screen with roles in The Divide (2017) and A Very Sordid Wedding (2017), the sequel to Del Shores cult classic Sordid Lives.
