One of Broadway's favorite leading men - Kyle Dean Massey, co-star of the hit ABC series Nashville - will conduct a master class in Music City on Wednesday, September 2. Presented by VWA Theatricals, which made its local debut with the critically acclaimed The Last Five Years in August, and The First Night Honors, the master class will be conducted from 6 to 10 p.m. at Van Wye Vocal Studio, 30 Music Square West, Suite 201.

Cost for the master class is $195 per person and participants should prepare the minimum of a one-minute cut of a song and bring along their book. Class size is limited and those interested in taking part should contact Lisa Van Wye at (615) 300-9613, or by email at lisavanwye1@aol.com.

Massey, who has earned raves for his performance on Nashville, is a veteran of such Broadway hits as Pippin, Wicked, Next to Normal and Xanadu. During the workshop, participants will learn the tricks of the trade for musical theater auditions. Enrollment in the master class is extremely limited and open to participants who will each have one-on-one time with Massey, who will conclude the master class with a question and answer session.

An Arkansas native, Massey can currently be seen on ABC's Nashville, playing songwriter Kevin Bicks. His other screen credits include The Good Wife (CBS), Inside Amy Schumer (CC), High Maintenance, Up All Night (NBC), Hart of Dixie (CW), Cupid (ABC), Sex And the City 2 (HBO Films) and Contest. He has also performed on Good Morning America, The CBS Early Show, Regis & Kelly and The 62nd Annual Tony Awards. While starring in Next to Normal, Massey was the star of his own popular web series, Normal Life, on Broadway.com. Five years later he hosted another series, Fresh Prince, while starring in the title role of Pippin. Massey also tours with his concert group The Broadway Tenors and lends his voice as a voice-over artist for many popular cartoon shows.

Massey serves as a masterclass instructor and panel contributor for several different teaching organizations including Camp Broadway, Broadway Artists Alliance, Broadway Connection, VIP Tours of New York, the Missouri Fine Arts Academy, Stagelighter and Broadway Triple Threat. He also serves as a private acting and voice coach to students all over the country.

A passionate supporter of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The Trevor Project and various human rights groups, Massey frequently performs in charity concerts at various venues across New York City including Joe's Pub, Ars Nova, Le Poisson Rouge, The Laurie Beechman Theatre and 54 Below.
