Ken Davenport's My First Time, a collection of monologues about experiencing sex for the first time, is next on the season for Actor's Bridge Ensemble, opening Friday night, October 2 and continuing through October 10 at Darkhorse Theatre, 4610 Charlotte Avenue.

Starring Jaclyn Johnson, Joy Tilley Perryman, Emily Fleming, Brandon Hirsch, Will McKinney and Chris Basso and directed by Jessika Malone, My First Time was described by The Village Voice as "funny and touching to sweet, sexy and silly."

"In 1998, a decade before blogging began, a website was created that allowed people to anonymously share their own true stories about their First Times," according to an Actors Bridge press release. "The website became an instant phenomenon as over 40,000 stories poured in from around the globe that were silly, sweet, absurd, funny, heterosexual, homosexual, shy, sexy and everything in between."

If you did it, you remember it, according to the collected stories: "I remember my first sexual experience. I was alone at the time!" said respondent #6509.

"I still have the Metallica shirt he wore that night," wrote #23960.

And, finally, "File mine under clumsy and awkward," said #4294.

These true stories and all of the unique characters in them are brought to life in the critically acclaimed 90-minute play by Ken Davenport, producer of Altar Boyz and creator of The Awesome 80s Prom. My First Time has been featured on CNN, Fox, MSNBC and in an iPhone commercial and is one of the longest plays in Off-Broadway history.

Showtimes are at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3, and Friday and Saturday, October 9 and 10; at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 8; and and 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 4.

Tickets are $15; for reservations, call Actor's Bridge at (615) 341-0300 or visit the company website at www.actorsbridge.org.
