Nan Gurley stars as Amanda Wingfield in Studio Tenn's upcoming production of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie, presented at Belmont University's Black Box Theatre Feburary 17-27.

The Glass Menagerie will conclude Studio Tenn's inaugural season, which has also included critically acclaimed productions of Hello, Dolly! and A Christmas Carol. Williams' enduring classic is an award-winning portrayal of a disintegrating family during the depression of the 1930's and introduced him as one of the preeminent American playwrights of the 20th century.

Last seen onstage for Studio Tenn as Dolly Gallagher Levin in the season-opening Hello, Dolly!, Gurley is currently onstage in Nashville Shakespeare Festival's Shakespeare Case at Belmont's Troutt Theatre. Ellie Sikes, a recent graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, plays Laura Wingfield, while Nashville favorite Eric Pasto-Crosby stars as Jim, "The Gentleman Caller," in Williams' time-honored drama. The actor who will be playing Tom Wingfield will be announced shortly, according to a company press release.

Studio Tenn is lead by artistic director Matt Logan and managing director Jake Speck, both Nashville natives who made good on Broadway and have brought their experience back home to Tennessee. They made quite a splash in 2010 with their initial season. Upcoming events will include Show Hope's production of Cinderella on April 15th, and Studio Tenn will bring The Sound of Music to Nashville audiences later in 2011.

The Glass Menagerie will play at The Troutt Theatre's Black Box on the Belmont University campus February 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26 at 7 p.m., as well as Sunday matinee performances February 20 and 27 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by visiting TicketsNashville.com or by calling (615) 628-9100.
