Groundworks Theatre in cooperation with Open Table Nashville presents the premiere of UNCONDITIONAL. This show asks the question, "Is doing the right thing for the wrong reason still right?"

UNCONDITIONAL is written by Myra (Anderson) Stephens and will hold performances Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. March 2–10 at the Darkhorse Theatre, 4610 Charlotte Ave. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30pm, with a special Thursday performance at the same time on March 8. Sundays will be matinees at 2:30pm. It will also hold the following special event nights:

Saturday, March 3: Benefit for Open Table Nashville with panel discussion to follow performance
Thursday, March 8: ‘Pay what you can’ night.

Tickets are $15 at the door, $12 if reserved. Students with valid ID and Senior Citizens are $8. Reservations are available by phone at: (615) 262-1832.

UNCONDITIONAL is an unflinching look at life on the streets -- a mother and daughter and their small community of marginalized citizens, all living under an elevated train bridge on the streets of Chicago. Their love, strength and support must survive the trials of the world around them, counting on each other to be at their best when the world is at its worst. But will it be enough to keep them from being torn apart? Can the ends ever justify the means? Is doing the right thing for the wrong reason still right? These questions and more will linger long after the curtain closes and the lights go out.

The UNCONDITIONAL cast includes Nashville favorites, Lauren Shakespeare, John Silvestro, Adele Akin and Meigie Mabry.

Open Table Nashville is a non-profit, interfaith community that disrupts cycles of poverty, journeys with the marginalized and provides education about issues of homelessness. Because of the subject matter of this play, they have chosen to partner with the people who work so hard to try and make a difference. That is why the revenue from the Sat., March 3rd show will go to benefit that organization. Following the Saturday performance, patrons will have an opportunity for a Q & A with a panel made up of members of Open Table Nashville and actors from the show. There will also be several pieces of original graffiti art created by local artists, Troy Duff and Mike Propes that will be part of the set of UNCONDITIONAL. These pieces of art will be offered in a silent auction throughout the run of the show. A portion of the proceeds from this auction will also be donated to Open Table Nashville. The successful bidders will be contacted at the close of the last performance. www.opentablenashville.org

Please be advised that this play contains mature themes and language. No one under the age of sixteen will be admitted without a parent or guardian.
