Due to overwhelming audience response, Christ Church Cathedral's Sacred Space for the City art series has added another performance of
ReGina Taylor's critically acclaimed gospel musical
Crowns on Friday February 17 at 7:30 p.m., officials announced on Friday morning.
Co-directed by
Ted Swindley, the author of Always, Patsy Cline, and
Mary McCallum of Nashville's SistaStyle Productions, Crowns "celebrates black women in church hats."
"The response has been incredible," says Susan Dupont, of Christ Church Cathedral. "With all the scheduled shows sold out, it's now official: we are adding one more performance...which is on its way to being sold out after only an afternoon on sale."
Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. for the added performance. Tickets are $15, with student tickets for $5. Christ Church Cathedral is located at 900 Broadway in Downtown Nashville. Call (615) 255-7729 for ticket availability.
