Dance Theatre of Tennessee brings the magic and beauty of Cinderella to life through dance in celebration of the Mother's Day weekend at Middle Tennessee State University's Tucker Theatre in Murfreesboro.

Special activities - starting one hour prior to each performance - will provide a real treat for children in attendance. Families will be able to participate in photo opportunities with Cinderella herself, Cinderella story times, and a magical shopping experience in the Crystal Carriage Boutique. For a $5 fee, children will be able to design and decorate a special jeweled ballet slipper to take home as a momento of the performance they will enjoy.

The series of performances will begin at 10 a.m. on May 6 with an exclusive event for Rutherford County elementary students, and will open to the public at MTSU's newly renovated Tucker Theatre on May 7 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The final show will be a special Mother's Day performance on Sunday, May 8, scheduled for 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children, and may be purchased at the Tucker Theatre box office on the days of the events, over the phone by calling (615) 494-8810, or online at http://www.mtsu.edu/tuckertheatre.

Dance Theatre of Tennessee, founded in 2009, is the performing arm of Asian American Performing Arts Society (AAPAS), a non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable organization.
