ClassAct Dramatics of Street Theatre Company proudly presents Little Women. The production will run November 9-17.

A Note From Director Leslie Berra

"Little Women was my ABSOLUTE favorite book when I was growing up, and I got to perform the role of Marmee in a different version of the play back in 2001. I really like this version that Class Act is performing, as it tells most of the story through just it's dialogue and narrative, painting the pictures of the various settings and actions through the actors words, just as the text in the book does for its readers. Our performers get to intensely focus on the characters and their relationships with one another in a simple setting - just as Louisa May Alcott did in her books. Those of you who are fans of the original Little Women novel will find all your favorite March sisters' stories here, and may even recognize a line here and there straight from the book. Our cast is working hard to stay true to these beloved characters, and I believe anyone who comes to see them will agree that they have done a beautiful job bringing the March sisters and their friends and family to live once again!"

Based on the cherished novel by Louisa May Alcott, Little Women tells the story of Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March, as they grow to adulthood in Civil War era New England. The girls endure hardships, privations, and even a tragic loss, but their courage, their love for each other, and the strength of their family bond never fade. An evening with sensible Meg, headstrong Jo, quiet Beth, and lively Amy makes a wonderful and moving theatrical experience for the whole family.

Leslie Berra's directorial credits include Spamalot, Rent, Chicago, Producers, Footloose, The Full Monty, 9 to 5 and ...Spelling Bee. Some of her favorite roles include Hubert (Nuncrackers and Nunsense), Morticia (Addams Family), Roz Hart (9 to 5), Paula Abagnale (Catch Me If You Can) Betty (Great American Trailer Park Musical) Narrator (Joseph...), Lucy (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown) and Hannigan (Annie). Leslie's biggest passion is working with young people and she has been directing all-youth casts for the past fifteen years, along with creating musical variety shows for her Gift of Song youth performance troupe.

Ms. Berra directs two casts which include Alexander Hamilton, Aliya Alvis Grossman, Amelia Bradstreet, Audrey Weedman, Charlotte Lefkowitz, Dylan Masterson, Elissa Caldwell, Ella Rieniets, Grant Lowe, Kevin Rome Jr, Laine Dickson, Lytle "Eliza" Landers, Mary Clare Hyland, Mary O'Riordan, Meg Tennent, Mira Todd, Nora Maragno, Sam Hallum, and Timberlake Pieper.

ClassAct's production team includes Leslie Berra (Director), Carmela Hofstee (Stage Manager), Alex Hopper (Lighting Designer), Sue Hallum (Costume Designer and Properties Master), Sawyer Wallace (Set Designer), and Gunnar Lundblad (Wigs, Hair, and Makeup).
