Murfreesboro's Out Front on Main, Inc. kicks off 2012 with hilarity-Alan Ball style-with his southern comedy Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, directed for the stage by George W. Manus, Jr.

This comedy, written by the creator of HBO's Six Feet Under and True Blood series, offers poignant moments that will have you laughing through tears, Manus says.

Most weddings are all about the bride-her dress, her hair, her flowers. Sometimes there's a passing glance at the groom. But in Alan Ball's play, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, the wedding is all about the guests-or at least about the five women who take refuge in the sister of the bride's upstairs bedroom while the festivities continue below.

"Eavesdrop with us on five bridesmaids who are going through 'wedding hell'-outlandish hairdos and ugly identical dresses-as they dish the dirt in an upstairs bedroom during a grand, Southern-style wedding reception. It's a raucous, raunchy comedic romp about life, love, men, marriage and intimacy as seen through the eyes of five very different, yet similar women," Manus says.

Manus' seasoned acting ensemble for the show includes Molly Breen, Sherry Sunday Booth, Christy Eidson, Tara McBay, Lora Hortert and Jason Barnes
