Act Too Pro to Present WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY This Fall

On the heels of their smash hit inaugural production of MARY POPPINS, Act Too Pro is proud to announce their next project - WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. Based on the beloved and fantastical book by Roald Dahl, WONKA features enchanting songs from the 1971 film and new songs by Leslie Bricusse (Jekyll & Hyde, Doctor Doolittle) and Anthony Newley. This musical will feature longtime Act Too instructor and collaborator Jamey Green as Willy Wonka, as well as Act Too's all-star staff and students. Mark your calendars now for October 18th through 23rd - you won't want to miss out on this magical trip (from your comfortable seat at the beautiful historic Franklin Theatre, of course!).

The delicious adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonka's mysterious Chocolate Factory light up the stage in this captivating musical adaptation. Come along with the enigmatic Willy Wonka and his troupe of Oompa-Loompas as he stages a contest by hiding five Golden Tickets in his scrumptious candy bars; whoever finds these tickets wins a free tour of the Factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats; the fifth is the sunny and loveable Charlie Bucket, accompanied by his spry and amiable grandfather. The children, and you, will witness the incredible - while learning to follow Mr. Wonka's rules along the way - or suffer the consequences. Surprising, sentimental and sublime, WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY will take you into a land of pure imagination!

Auditions for all youth roles will be announced soon via http://www.acttoopro.com/. Casting consideration is limited to children who have been enrolled at Act Too Players during the Summer and Fall 2015 semesters, or the Spring 2016 semester.
