Beginning Ballet for Young Performers - Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm
Start your young dancer out in this beginning ballet class where they will gain understanding of proper ballet techniques used in subsequent ballet classes, all while having a blast!This class will help your child develop skills such as grace and poise in a fun and safe environment. We will focus on basic ballet movements, terminology, and exciting routines. Children will also get to play fun games to reinforce what they have learned.
Beginning Group Voice Performance - Tuesdays 4:30-5:30pm
Voice training basics taught through the learning of solo and group numbers. Every student will be given a solo song to work on and participate in group numbers. The class will address vocal preparation and different music styles.
Beginning Tap for Young Performers - Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm
This lively class introduces students to rhythmic tap patterns and foot movement to upbeat music. Across the floor and center combinations will be taught and broken down step by step. Classes promote musicality, technique, coordination and rhythm. Tap shoes required.
Comedy Improv Troupe - Saturdays 1:30-2:30pm
Improvisation is the practice of acting, singing, talking and reacting, of making and creating, in the moment and in response to the stimulus of one's immediate environment and inner feelings. This can result in the invention of new thought patterns, new practices, new structures or symbols, and/or new ways to act. This invention cycle occurs most effectively when the practitioner has a thorough intuitive and technical understanding of the necessary skills and concerns within the improvisation.
Monologue Class - Saturdays 12:30-1:30pm
Do you need help learning your "type"? Do you need help finding monologues? or How to choose a monologue for the audition? This class is designed to help you be at your best in the audition room and to be confidant with any monologue. An actor needs to show in an audition that he is both an artist and a showman, a creative spirit and a professional.
Musical Theatre Dance Styles: Hip Hop & Jazz - Saturdays 2:30-3:30pm
This class is different this semester! Musical Theatre Dance Styles will tackle a different musical style each semester. This semester we will be tackling the styles of hip hop and jazz with focus on musicals like In the Heights, Chicago, Camp Rock, 13, High School Musical, and All that Jazz.
