The summer is almost over and we are just mere weeks from the first day of school. As kids start preparing for their first day back, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee (BGMCT) has partnered with 3M, Thirty-One Gifts and 102.9 The Buzz to throw an Inaugural Back to School Bash saying goodbye to summer and hello to the new school year ahead.

3M Foundation generously provides funding for Boys & Girls Clubs' Project Learn initiative and the Back to School Bash. Through their generous support, the five Middle Tennessee Club locations can give extra attention and focus to educational enhancement through homework help and tutoring.

"Boys & Girls Clubs prides itself on a healthy mix of fun and academics throughout our school-year and summer programing," said Dan Jernigan, president & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee. "It is our intent to complement our kid's educational offerings during the school year, help reduce summer learning loss and provide kids with safe, fun place to develop themselves all year long."

Over 300 kids from all five Middle Tennessee Boys & Girls Clubs will enjoy a fun-filled day of games, inflatables, water slides and a lunch time cookout along with music provided by 102.9 The Buzz at the Andrew Jackson Boys & Girls Club location. Kids will also receive back packs courtesy of Thirty-One Gifts and school supplies from 3M.

The 2013 Inaugural Back to School Bash is set for Friday, July 26th from 9:00AM to 3PM

9AM to 11AM - Triple Play Programs (Club Active Games & Activities)
11AM to Noon - Cookout/Lunch
