The National Youth Orchestra Canada is the country’s leading training organization for aspiring young orchestral musicians. Selecting only the most gifted musicians from across the country, the NYOC provides world-class training to prepare them for life as professional musicians and beyond. 40 percent of professional orchestral musicians in Canada are NYOC alumni. In 2009, the NYOC received a JUNO nomination in the category of Classical Album of the Year: Large Ensemble for its album, Selections from the National Tour.
