Spring Awakening
June 8 - 15, 2024
Studio Hydro Quebec, Monument National
-----------------
A poignant, coming-of-age, musical, Spring Awakening depicts a group of adolescents, including Wendla, Melchior, and Moritz, navigate the tumultuous waters of puberty and sexual awakening. Wendla is a bright, curious girl kept in the dark about sexuality, while Melchior is a rebellious and intelligent student who understands the world more deeply than his peers. Moritz, on the other hand, is an anxious and troubled young teen who is grappling with their own feelings as they navigate puberty, their sexuality and identity. As these characters grapple with their burgeoning desires and societal repression, conflicts arise, and tragic consequences unfold.
