Dans les souliers d' Elvis at Place des Arts

On August 29, 2012, Elvis fans across Quebec were invited to enter the singing contest by submitting a video showing that they were able to pay homage to the King. Having passed the initial selection process, Québec’s best hopes then competed on stage in their respective towns in order to determine a winner for each region of the province.

Presented in collaboration with Elvis Presley’s estate (Elvis Presley Enterprises), the Grand Finale is finally here! Directed by Denis Bouchard and hosted by Jici Lauzon, the show brings to the stage the region’s best and brightest finalists, several artists featured on the Elvis tribute album entitled Dans les souliers d’Elvis as well as surprise guests.

The winner of the finale will win a trip for 2 to Memphis, Tennessee, to attend « ELVIS WEEK 2013 » as well as a chance to perform on stage during the festivities in front of thousands of Elvis fans and representatives from Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Launched in September 2012, the tribute album Dans les souliers d’Elvis features some of Québec’s greatest voices: Eric Lapointe, Roch Voisine, Isabelle Boulay, Marc Dupré, Mario Pelchat, Melissa Bédard, Martin Deschamps and many others performing some of the King of Rock 'n' Roll’s greatest songs.
