Tony Winner Michael Cerveris to Teach Montreal Masterclass

In The Wings Promotions is bringing two-time Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris to teach an exclusive masterclasses in Montreal on November 11, 2016.

Two-time Tony Award winner, Broadway veteran (Fun Home, Assassins, Sweeney Todd, The Who's Tommy), film and TV star (The Good Wife, Fringe), Michael Cerveris will hold an exclusive masterclass in Montreal for local performers.

During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to work on musical theatre or pop selections, monologues or on-camera scene work.

Enrollment in the masterclass is extremely limited and open to participants who will each have one-on-one time with Cerveris, as well as auditors who can observe and learn from the audience. The masterclass will conclude with a Q & A with Michael and time to grab a selfie or autograph.

The masterclass will take place on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 6:00PM - 10:00PM. To participate, the fee is $195 and to audit the class, the fee is $75. Michael Cerveris is a two-time Tony Award winner for his roles as "Bruce Bechdel" in Fun Home, for which he also received the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Actor, and as "John Wilkes Booth" in Assassins. He has also garnered Tony Award nominations for his roles in Evita, LoveMusik, Sweeney Todd, and The Who's Tommy. Other Broadway appearances include In The Next Room (or The Vibrator Play), Hedda Gabler, Cymbeline, and Titanic. Known for his versatility as an actor, Cerveris has also performed off-Broadway in productions of King Lear, Macbeth, Nikolai and the Others, and Sondheim's Road Show, among others, and brought his performance as "Hedwig" from off-Broadway to Los Angeles and London's West End.

Cerveris has also appeared in many films and television series, including his recurring roles on the "The Good Wife," "Treme," and "Fringe." He has sung with the New York City Opera and the New York Philharmonic, and at venues ranging from Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, New Orleans' JazzFest and a tour playing guitar for Bob Mould. Cerveris has recorded two solo albums titled Dog Eared and Piety. His country band Loose Cattle has also released their live debut record titled North of Houston.

In The Wings Promotions was founded by Noelle Hannibal in 2011 and provides public relations for theatre companies and events in and around Montreal. ITW also actively contributes to the Montreal theatre community by producing special theatrical events along with a masterclass series. Recent masterclasses include Adam Pascal, HAMILTON star Andrew Chappelle, Kyle Dean Massey, Seth Rudetsky and Natalie Weiss.
