Enter into a world of interactions between six complex characters. A play that draws from both realism and absurdity, The Birthday Party engages in the nuances of memory and the joys and terrors of human relationships.
Though Music Theatre Montreal has approached the play as a straight theatre piece, this particular production includes live music. Montreal based composer Mirko Sablich has been commissioned to compose the soundtrack. His music is woven intermittently into the action by the Music Directors Nataly Tishina and Jonathan Harnik in collaboration with Director Lara Oundjian. The soundtrack is played live during the performance.
