The Segal Centre, CIBC, and Peerless Clothing has announced that the smash-hit musical Guys and Dolls has been extended to October 31st, 2012.
The Broadway musical sensation about sex, love and redemption in 40s New York inaugurates the Segal Centre’s stellar 2012-2013 theatre season.
The hottest gamblers are in town and Nathan Detroit needs cash to continue his infamous floating craps game. Despite pressure from the local police and disapproval from longtime fiancée Miss Adelaide, Detroit bets playboy Sky Masterson a thousand dollars that he will not succeed in taking Sister Sarah Brown on a date to Havana. With her superior threatening to close down the mission, the pious Miss Brown is forced to accept and an unlikely romance blossoms. All bets are off in this lavish Tony Award-winning musical, inspired by the mythical short-stories of iconic writer Damon Runyon. Directed by Diana Leblanc (Harvey, Same Time, Next Year), Guys and Dolls features a stellar cast of Canada’s foremost musical theatre performers and some of Broadway’s most unforgettable numbers up-close-and-personal at the Segal theatre.
The extension will run until October 31st and includes performances on the following dates:
Monday, October 29th – 8pm
Tuesday, October 30th – 8pm (presented with French supertitles)
Wednesday, October 31st - 8pm
