The Hudson Players Club will present the 20th Century Classic, F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, directed by Donna Byrne and adapted for the stage by Simon Levy.
The Hudson Players Club was founded in 1948 to serve Hudson and the surrounding communities, and is now the longest-running community theatre group in the province of Quebec.

Director Donna Byrne is thrilled to be directing The Great Gatsby. Donna has directed over 20 plays, including her own, The Widow Schwartz, directed by her, produced by Hudson Players Club in 2012. Donna is honoured to have worked with such a talented group of actors. She wishes to thank Hudson Players Club, the amazing crew, the cast for their trust and commitment and to all the people who made this production possible.
Performing at the Hudson Village Theatre, (28 Wharf Road, Hudson, Qc. J0P 1H0) the show will run from Thursday November 3rd to Sunday November 13th.
THE STORY: Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed and danger. The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age come to the stage in F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel, and in Simon Levy's adaptation, approved by the Fitzgerald Estate.
