Stendhal X Presents GOD OF CARNAGE At The Freestanding Room Image

Based on the play God of Carnage by playwright Yasmina Reza, Stendhal X's project has led to a politically-charged, wild, and immersive adaptation to be presented at The Freestanding Room from May 3rd - 13th.

God of Carnage takes place over the span of one hour as two couples meet to discuss a fight between their sons the previous day - a seemingly innocent battle that has resulted in one child losing two teeth. The play follows their attempts at hosting a civilized meeting, which spirals into chaos as their hidden motives and tightly knit social personas unravel. In Stendhal X's unrestrained reimagining of the play, issues of gender, sexuality, and race are much more vividly highlighted.

For a show that is equal parts topical and ridiculous, join Stendhal X for an unforgettable and intimate theatre experience that moves rapidly through the rituals of conversation and civility. Step into the home of the Vallons, have a slice of cake, and feel the drama for yourself.
