Hudson Village Theatre will present Red Riding Hood as its 9th annual Christmas Pantomime from December 18 - January 9.
This rendition of the classic tale tells the story of Farmer Hood's chickens that are being whittled down by the big bad wolf, Granny Hood who needs her cottage decorated, and Red who needs a new dress to go to the village dance. Tom the Woodcutter wants to take Red to the dance. All these things collide in the wood, ending with the wolf caught, Granny's cottage done up nicely and Red and Tom on their way to the dance.
The holiday special, by Bob Hammond, is directed by Melanie Doerr and musical directed by Elizabeth Proulx.
Tickets for Red Riding Hood are $17. To purchase tickets and for a complete performance schedule, visit www.villagetheatre.ca/.
