Johnny Legdick; A rock opera, created by Jonah Carson, Jimmy Karamanis, Macleod Alan Truesdale, Elijah Fisch, and Tyler Miller, will be directed by Jimmy Karamanis with musical direction by Macleod Alan Truesdale and will play Thursday, January 8 through Saturday, January 17, as part of Centaur Theatre's Wildside Festival.

Johnny Legdick; A rock opera is a story of oppression, power struggles, and the definition of what is normal. Together with his new friends Hannah and Steve the Steed, Johnny must flee the evil Suckadacocka's circus of freaks. This third production of Johnny Legdick; A rock opera is the biggest and best yet, with a larger band and two new songs.

Featuring: Jonah Carson, Tadzeo Horner-Chbib, Colin Macdonald, Travis Martin, Arielle Palik, Mara Lazaris, Sarah Segal-Lazar, Chris Aitkens and Adam Capriolo.

Johnny Legdick; A rock opera, presented by Playwright Hero and The Jem at Centaur Theatre's Wildside Festival (453 St. François-Xavier), will run Thurs. Jan. 8, 7pm; Fri. Jan. 9, 9pm; Sun. Jan. 11, 4 pm; Thurs. Jan. 15, 7pm; Sat. Jan. 17, 9 pm.

This is Playwright Hero's fourth season. Their most recent original play, No One Like Hugh, met critical acclaim during its November 2014 run at MainLine Theatre.

The Jem are an acoustic trio from Montreal active since 2009, and comprises bass, guitar, djembe, trumpet and three-part harmonies.
