Hudson Village Theatre brings Blue Suede Shoes: The King, The Colonel, The Memories to Hudson from today, June 18, to the 29th. The C2 Entertainment touring show is an explosive tribute to Elvis Presley, the undisputed 'King of Rock n' Roll' staring Roy Leblanc as Elvis and Chris McHarge as Colonel Tom Parker.

Fans of all ages have flocked to see this energetic homage to the iconic music legend since its 2011 premiere. In a two-hour journey covering 45 songs, Leblanc, winner of the 2003 World's Best Elvis Competition in Las Vegas, lets audiences re-live the hits that made Elvis the world's most beloved performer. "Leblanc IS Elvis Presley and that alone is reason enough to buy a ticket ... Leblanc brings more than the voice and the mannerisms. He is the heart and soul that endeared millions of fans that remain loyal to this day", wrote Eric Bunnell of the Times-Journal.

The revue consistently wows sold-out audiences. David Nairn, Artistic Director of Theatre Orangeville just north of Toronto, said, "Blue Suede Shoes is a license to print money!" When the full two-week run at Port Dover's (Lake Erie) Lighthouse Festival Theatre sold out before the show even opened, LFT Administrative Director, Helen Wagenaar, added two additional performances which also sold out within days. "We then added a third show," says Wagenaar, "and it sold out almost immediately."

Elvis's meteoric rise to fame unfolds through the eyes of his lifelong business manager, Colonel Tom Parker, played by director and co-creator Chris McHarge, of whom the Simcoe Times-Reformer wrote, "McHarge hits the nail on the head with his portrayal of the aged manager". The tribute covers the gamut of the superstar's career including his early days at Sun Records, the RCA Victor years, his stretch in the army, the Hollywood films, the unplugged, leather-clad comeback special, and his grandiose Vegas spectacles. With more than a dozen costume changes and a live band featuring Musical Director and Co-creator, Colin Stewart on bass, Dean Harrison on keyboards, John Kenny on guitar and Ted Peacock playing drums, Blue Suede Shoes is a shoe-in for the Off-Island musical highlight of the year!

Presentations are every evening at 8pm Wednesdays through Saturdays with 2pm matinées on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
